Darrick D. Epps

Darrick Darnell Epps, 13, died Thursday, March 1, 2007, at Palmetto Health Richland, Columbia.

Born Nov. 10, 1993, in Columbia, he was a son of Darrick Lowery and Rachel Epps and stepson of Lonza Wilson. His maternal grandparents are Kenna M. Epps and Tommy Epps and his paternal grandmother is Polly Baxter. He was a student at Sneed Middle School, Florence.

Survivors include his parents, Darrick Lowery of Sumter and Rachel Epps of the home; stepfather, Lonza Wilson of Gable; grandparents, Kenna M. Epps of Gable, Tommy Epps of Lynchburg and Polly Baxter of Manning; one brother, Tyshawn Epps of the home; and three sisters, Rashelle and Nyiesha Epps of the home and Aniya Lowery of Sumter.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Terry Lowery Sr.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at Hayes F. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel in Manning, with the Rev. William Jones Jr. officiating, assisted by Evangelist Rhonda Keels.

Burial was in Goodman Cemetery.

Samuels Funeral Home LLC of Manning was in charge of arrangements.
