Norris E. Brangman

Norris Eugene Brangman, 63, widower of Loretta Johnson Brangman, died Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, at his residence in Manning.

Born Jan. 17, 1945, in Bermuda, he was a son of Gretchen Simmons Brangman and stepson of the late Gerald Brangman. He received his formal education at Bermuda High School, Bermuda, and Robinson Trade and Technical School in Manhattan, N.Y. His major was in auto mechanics.

He is survived by his mother, Gretchen Simmons Brangman; a son, Elliott (Debbie) Douglas; special friend, Willie Pearson; two uncles; three aunts; and a special cousin, Barbara Burgess.

Memorial services were held on Sunday, March 9, 2008, at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Raccoon Road, Manning, with the Rev. Jonathan Mouzon, pastor, officiating, and the Rev. Eloise Pompey and Minister Sandra E. Pompey assisting.

Burial followed at Pembroke Cemetery, Bermuda.

Samuels Funeral Home LLC of Manning was in charge of the arrangements.
