Madgelene Chatman-Ramesar
BOSTON, Mass. – Madgelene Chatman-Ramesar, 51, wife of Boysie Ramesar, died Feb. 18, 2007, at Brigham’s Women Hospital, Boston.
Born June 21, 1955, in Manning, she was a daughter of Julia Mae Chatman and Leroy Chatman. She was a graduate of Manning High School and Wilfred Cosmetology Academy Beauty School. After moving to Boston, she was employed with Polaroid Corp. as a quality control supervisor and later as a biomedical engineer with Boston City Hospital.
Survivors include one son, Ronald (Tynesha) Chatman of Boston; one daughter, Julia Nicole Ramesar of Boston; two brothers, Leroy (Leola) Chatman Jr. of Woodbridge, Va., and Michael Chatman of Manning; six sisters, Deloris (King) Bennett, Linda McBride, Ethel Chatman, Valarie (Lester) Oliver and Tiffany Monroe, all of Manning, and Terry Chatman of Baltimore, Md.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, at Mount Zero Baptist Church with the Rev. Henry Presley officiating, assisted by the Rev. Major Lloyd, the Rev. Terry Johnson, Minister Lillian Wright and the Rev. Richmond McDuffie.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
Fleming and DeLaine Funeral Home was in charge of services.
