Charles E. Mack
Charles Edward Mack, 61, died Feb. 18, 2007, at his residence in Manning.
Born Aug. 23, 1945, in Wilmington, N.C., he was a son of Emmanuel Mack Sr. and the late Lou Edna Rogers Mack. He accepted Christ as his Savior and joined Biggers AME Church, where he served faithfully. He was a graduate of Manning Training School. He was employed by Baxter Industries and G.B. Fermnation for more than 20 years. He was a licensed CDL truck driver until his health failed.
Survivors include his father, Emmanuel Mack Sr.; three sons, James L. Mack and Karren C. (Adrian) Mack, both of Greeleyville, and Stanley E. (Lurenza) Mack of Kingstree; two daughters, Cynthia M. (Dennis) Parson of Columbia and Jacqueline Mack of Greeleyville; two brothers, Emmanuel (Odessa) Mack Jr. of Manning and James L. (Christine) Mack of Greeleyville; reared as a brother, Stevie (Estell) Shannon; three sisters, Lou Retha (Lane) Montgomery of Lane, Rose Marie Mack of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Mary Alice McCray of Manning; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at Biggers AME Church in Manning, with the Rev. Andrew Jordan, pastor, officiating, the Rev. Robert McCutcheon, presiding, assisting the Rev. Albert Rose Jr.
Burial was in the churchyard cemetery.
Samuels Funeral Home LLC of Manning was in charge of arrangements.
