Margaret Eagerton and W. John Buchko received recognition awards for perfect training attendance. “I know you don’t get paid for what you do, but you’re a tremendous asset,” said councilmember and fellow firefighter Jay Bruner.   Rev. David Thurlow was named Summerton Firefighter of the Year. At left is Public Works Director and Fire Chief Bucky Brailsford, who said, “It doesn’t matter whether it’s a brush fire or out on the interstate, Thurlow is always there to lend a hand and moral support.”
