Elizabeth L. Rogers

Elizabeth Laura Rogers, 81, wife of Doyle L. “Mr. Bill” Rogers, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, at Windsor Manor, near Summerton.

Born Jan. 14, 1926, in Levi, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Jestice and Lilly Morris Riley. She was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving besides her husband of Summerton are two daughters, Barbara (Al) Long of Roxboro, N.C., and Deborah (W.A.) Long of Yanceyville, N.C.; a sister, Nancy Larkin of Summerton; four grandchildren, Stephen, Tracy, Michelle and Christopher Long; and three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kacey and Cade Long.

Graveside services were held on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, in Theresa Baptist Church Cemetery in Roxboro with the Rev. Herbert Brown officiating.

Stephens Funeral Home and Crematory of Manning was in charge of local arrangements.
