Charles Lee Jones
Charles Lee Jones, 40, died Feb. 3, 2007, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.
Born Jan. 13, 1967, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Donald Neil and Thelma Wells Jones. He was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and was a member of the graduating class of 1986 from Sumter High School. He was employed by Exide Battery.
Survivors include two daughters, Shanelle Green of Georgia and Rockell Isaac of Sumter; one son, Brandon Simmons of Summerton; five sisters, Ruth Jones, Mickey Jones, Louvenra Billie and Rosa McBride, all of Sumter, and Ruby Tindal of Wedgefield; four brothers, Steve (Jennifer) Jones, William Jones, Ronnie Jones and Roy Wells, all of Sumter; three aunts, Bessie Mae (Albert) McKnight of Thomasville, N.C., Shirley Jones and Lillie M. Wells, both of Sumter; one uncle, Dan Wells of Alcolu; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at Westminister Presbyterian Church, Alcolu, with the Rev. Dr. Ella Busby, pastor, officiating.
Burial was in Wells Cemetery, Alcolu.
Job’s Mortuary Inc. of Sumter was in charge of arrangements.
