Jewell Lena B. Huth
LYNCHBURG – Jewell Lena Bell Huth, age 81, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, at a Florence hospital after a short illness.
Born in Newport News, Va., she was a daughter of the late Robert Samuel Bell and Frieda G. Ehoff Bell. She was a renowned seamstress; owner and operator of Gems by Jewell Dress Shop; a former member of the Sumter Crafters Guild; and was a member of Faith Bible Church.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Samuel Bell Jr. and Walter Bell; and an infant grandson.
She is survived by her husband, the Rev. F.L. Huth Jr.; two daughters, Dr. Joyce Frieda (Dr. Jamie) Munro of Wayne, Pa., and Grace Adelia (Dr. Kevin) Suiter of Bradley, W.Va.; a son, Fred L. (Connie) Huth III of Turbeville; a sister, Lillian Roy of Mitchellville, Md.; three grandchildren, Freddie L. (Shana) Huth, Carey I. (Charrish) Huth and Terry C. (Jessica) Huth; five great-grandchildren, McKayla, Shelley, Jacob, Conor and Eden Huth.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, in the Chapel of Floyd Funeral Home.
Burial followed at Faith Bible Church cemetery on the Narrow Paved Road in Sumter County.
