Willean Hilton

Willean Hilton, 66, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007, at Carolina Hospital System in Florence.

Born June 17, 1940, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late Willie Lee Hilton and Lucy Gibson Hilton. She received her formal education at Scott’s Branch High School. In her youth she accepted Christ as her Savior and joined Liberty Hill AME Church in Summerton. She later joined the Church of God by Faith.

Survivors include four daughters, Emma Mae Pearson of New York, N.Y., Maxine (Gregory) Pack of Bronx, N.Y., Elizabeth (Charles) Pearson of Manning and Delorise Hilton of the home; a brother, Moses Hilton of Summerton; and 17 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Beulah Hilton; a nephew; and a great-granddaughter.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, at the Church of God by Faith in Davis Station with Elder Thomas Davis, pastor, officiating.

Burial was in the churchyard cemetery.

Samuels Funeral Home, LLC was in charge of arrangements.
