Hazel T. Boyce
Hazel Thompson Boyce, 86, widow of Raymond Eugene Boyce, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, at a local nursing center.
Born in Alcolu, she was a daughter of the late Hugh Thompson and the late Callie Daniels Thompson. Mrs. Boyce was a retired civil service employee.
Surviving are one son, Gene Boyce of Woodrow; two daughters, Judy (Kim) Seals of Chapin and Cheryl (Furman) Dabbs of Sumter; three brothers, Hugh Thompson of Alcolu, Murray Thompson of Sumter and Julian Thompson of Wichita Falls, Texas; two sisters, Joyce Link and Cleo DuBose, both of Sumter; and four grandchildren, Callie Seals, Rebekah Seals, Janis Dabbs and Furman Dabbs.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Billy Thompson, Ed Thompson and Harold Thompson; and four sisters, Eva Lee, Caro Andrews, Dot Floyd and Cecil Thompson.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Andrew Basham officiating.
Burial was in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
