Shirley Neil Swann

Shirley Neil Swann, 72, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, in Trident Hospital in Charleston.

Born Sept. 23, 1935, in Prentiss, Miss., she was a daughter of the late Hugh Herman Williams and the late Allie Velma Roberts Williams. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Swann was retired manager of a dry cleaning business.

Surviving are three daughters, Wanda Kay Swann of Des Moines, Iowa, Barbara Joan McCarthy and Billie Dorman of Manning; two sons, Lewis Herman Swann of Manning and George Lee Swann of Des Moines, Iowa; ten grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral in Manning, with the Rev. William K. Cribb officiating.

Burial followed in Clarendon Memorial Gardens.
