Lucille Keefe Jones
PAMPLICO, S.C. – Ruth Lucille Keefe Jones, 90, of Pamplico died early Monday morning, Jan. 29, 2007 at the McLeod Hospice House after an illness.
Mrs. Jones was born in Florence County, a daughter of the late Lonnie L. and Glennie Poston Keefe. She was a homemaker, a lifetime member of Beulah Free Will Baptist Church, an active member until her illness of the Ladies Auxiliary of the church and the Mattie Bazen Sunday School Class,
She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, William Joe Jones; by three brothers, Grover Keefe, Archie Keefe and Martin Keefe; and by two sisters, Buena Jones and Mary Lee King.
Surviving are two sons, Joel Keith “Shadie” Jones of Santee and Alvin (Betty) Jones of Pamplico; three daughters, Janice Jones Elvis of Florence, Ruth Ann Langley of Lake City and Lou Nell (Roddy) Merritt of Moncks Corner; one grandson, Kevin Benjamin (Danielle) Poston of Pamplico and one special great-granddaughter, Kaleigh Marie Poston.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007 in the Beulah Free Will Baptist Church in Pamplico.
Burial followed in the church cemetery.
