Emma Lee Floyd
OLANTA – Emma Lee Floyd, 61, wife of V.J. Floyd, died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007, at Carolinas Hospital System, Florence.
Born Nov. 5, 1945, in Kingstree, she was a daughter of the late Wallace and Laura Lee Lowder Thigpen. She was employed at Williamsburg Packing Co. and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving besides her husband of Olanta are her stepmother, Sara Horton of Madison, Tenn.; three daughters, Sherry St. John of Sellersburg, Ind., Janet Watts of Turbeville and Karen (Bobby) Broyhill of Florence; two sons, Kerry St. John of Sellersburg and Marion Watts of Turbeville; a brother, Edward Thigpen of Old Fort, N.C.; a half-brother, Cecil Thigpen of Madison; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning with the Rev. Carl Edwards officiating.
Burial followed in Home Branch Baptist Church cemetery.
Stephens Funeral Home and Crematory of Manning was in charge of arrangements.
