In support of Clarendon Health Systems’ new $4.4 million imaging center, the Cypress Foundation recently presented Chief Executive Officer Edward R. Frye with a $75,000 donation.
The Cypress Foundation’s mission is to provide charitable support for Clarendon Health System and its many healthcare services, education initiatives and community programs.
Officially opened in October, the imaging center offers citizens the most advanced imaging and diagnostic services in the area, including permanent, full-time MRI and nuclear medicine testing, of the fastest CT scanners in the world, an expanded cardio-pulmonary department and a new outpatient registration area.
“In today’s competitive healthcare environment, we have to constantly invest in the best technology and facilities if we want people to stay in Clarendon County for their healthcare needs,” said Frye. “The generosity of the Cypress Foundation and the dedication of its board members play a significant role in making that possible.”
Foundation chair Margaret Jackson presented the check on behalf of the entire 20-member Foundation board.
“For us to continue to recruit industries and attract retirees to Lake Marion, we must have a state-of-the-art hospital, but it can only happen if our local citizens and doctors support it” she said. “The Cypress Foundation believes that this is an important investment in Clarendon County’s future, and we ask everyone to support us by using our hospital and its services, contributing financially to the Foundation, attending events such as the Cypress After 5 concert series and volunteering time to help others.”
