Sandra Durrence

Sandra Dale Haley Durrence, 44, wife of Mickey Durrence, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center in Sumter.

Born Aug. 21, 1962, she was a daughter of the late Elbert C. Haley and the late Ethel Ardis Haley Atkinson. She was a member of Liberty Freewill Baptist Church.

Surviving besides her husband of Manning are a daughter, Jessica D. (Brian) Grubbs of Manning; three sons, Michael E. Cromer Jr. of Greenville, Scottie Lee Durrence of Statesboro, Ga., and Trenton Wayne Durrence of Manning; stepmother, Cheryl H. Haley of Manning; two brothers, Robbie Roberson of Evans, Ga., and Elbert Clayton Haley Jr. of Pinewood; three sisters, Diane Smith of Gable, Myra Freeman of Manning and Wendy Hamilton of Gibson, N.C.; three granddaughters, Kahli N. Grubbs, Toryn M. Grubbs and Layla J. Durrence.

Funeral services were held on Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning with Pastors Mike Morris and James Rupard officiating.

Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Joe Johnson, Dwayne Thigpen, Chris Thigpen, John McLeod, Brian Grubbs and Mike Elder.

Stephens Funeral Home and Crematory of Manning was in charge of arrangements.
