Maggie Lee Alsbrook

Maggie Lee Alsbrook, 86, widow of Lewis Cole Alsbrook, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007, at her home in Manning.

Born Dec. 26, 1921, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late Thomas James and Leila Fair Shepherd Cutter. She was a retired seamstress from Manning Manufacturing and a member of Jordan United Methodist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Colleen (J.C.) Bochette, Elaine (David) Casselman and Phyllis (Neil) Beard, all of Manning; a son, Lynn Coleman (Lenora) Alsbrook of Jemez Springs, N.M.; a sister, Mary Ella Windham Moorer of Columbia; a brother, Joe Cutter of Manning; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, T.J. Cutter, Moses Cutter, Ben Cutter and Thomas Cutter; and three sisters, Maude Childers, Lucy Bodenheimer and Ethel Ward.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning with the Rev. DeVere Williams officiating.

Burial followed in Jordan United Methodist Church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be the grandchildren.

Stephens Funeral Home and Crematory of Manning was in charge of the arrangements.
