Levan Gaters Jr.

MIAMI, Fla. – Levan Gaters Jr., 13, died Dec. 14, 2006, in Miami.

Born Sept. 22, 1993, in Miami, he was a son of Levan Gaters Sr. and Patricia Pearson Gaters. He attended Golden Glades Elementary School and later North Dade Middle School. He was a member of the 5000 Role Model Club and the Boys and Girls Club. He was a member of Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church and was very active.

Survivors besides his parents, Levan Gaters Sr. and Patricia Pearson Gaters of Miami, include one brother, Michael Pearson of Manning; one sister, Shanta Denise Gaters of Miami; grandparents, Roosevelt (Claudell) Gaters of Summerton and Gerlean Bennett Pearson of Manning.

He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Ferdinand Pearson Sr.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006, at Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church, Miami.

Burial was in Miami Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Royal Funeral Home of Miami was in charge of services.
