Pauline Elmore
Pauline Frances Hicks Elmore, 84, widow of Lorain Eldridge Elmore, died Monday, Dec. 18, 2006, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital, Manning.
Born Nov. 11, 1922, in the Hicks community of Turbeville, she was a daughter of the late Martin Lane Hicks and the late Mary Isabelle Keels Hicks. She was manager and bookkeeper of Elmore Farms, cemetery custodian of Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and a homemaker.
Surviving are three daughters, Nina E. (Wendell) Blanton of Irmo, Faye E. (Douglas) Fellers of Chapin, and Sharon E. (Johnny) Burke of Alcolu; a sister-in-law, Vance E. Hudson of Six Mile; six grandchildren, David Blanton, John E. Blanton, Brian Fellers, Michael Fellers, Bobby Burke and Lori Welch.
The family wishes to thank friends at Trinity United Methodist Church for their steadfast love and support and the loving, capable staff of Generations and Clarendon Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Dec. 22, 2006, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning with the Rev. Charlie Brookshire officiating.
Burial followed in Trinity-Alcolu Community Cemetery, U.S. 301, Alcolu.
