Peggy M. Barrett

Peggy Mahoney Barrett, age 59, of Goldsboro, N.C. died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006, from injuries received in an automobile accident. Born Sept. 4, 1947 in Manning, she is the daughter of Josephine Brunson Mahoney of Sumter, and the late James Daniel Mahoney. Employed with Advantage Marketing, she was an active member of the Tarheel Twirlers Square Dance Club and an officer with the North Carolina Square Dance Federation.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Barrett is survived by her husband, Jack Barrett; a daughter, Leslie B. (Billy) Anderson of Grantham, N.C.; a son, Gregory J. (Kim) Barrett of Grantham; a daughter-in-law, Angela Wise of Grantham; a sister, Ida Mae (Everette) Harrington of Sumter; six grandchildren, Ryan, Hayley, Ashton, Heidi, Kylie and Noah; two step-grandchildren, Kelly and Cameron; and one step-great-grandchild, Hunter.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006, at the Goldsboro Worship Center in Goldsboro with Pastor Jerry Andrews and Pastor Danny Johnson officiating.

Burial followed in Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley, N.C.

Peggy will be remembered for being a dedicated and loving wife, mother and Nana.
