Farm-City Week
By Eric Goold
During National Farm-City Week, Nov. 16-22, the Clarendon Soil & Water Conservation District celebrated the farm-city partnership by hosting a Farm-City Luncheon on Monday, Nov. 19. The Luncheon was held at the American Legion Hut in Manning. This year a farm-city coloring contest was held for K4-3rd graders and a farm city photo contest was held for the Clarendon Conservation Youth Board Commissioners. The coloring pages and photos were on display for luncheon guests to view and judge. The event also featured a farm equipment display complements of Sparrow & Kennedy Tractor Company.
The Clarendon Soil & Water Conservation District is Proud to announce the winners of the first Farm-City Coloring Contest. Contest winners received a first place ribbon, a Farm-City Prize Pack and were entered into a drawing to win a pizza party for their class. The lucky pizza party winner is Kayla Miller in Ms. Green’s class at Walker Gamble Elementary.
